I love a winter wedding. Technically Reegs & Bec were married in Winter, but on the day you would never have known it. The weather was perfect and the sun was warm. Winter doesn’t really come to Tropical Queensland.
Bec & Reegs grew up together. They’ve been friends for as long as they can remember (literally). Together with Bec’s brother Kresten, they’ve spent most of their lives together. They’ve skydived, hot air ballooned, driven 20 hours in 2 days, shared a tarp together under the pouring rain while watching Switchfoot perform during the 2011 floods at Easterfest in Toowoomba while the crowds below moshed in flood water – then spent the night soaked in rain sleeping in a friends car because their tents had been destroyed in the flood waters. Surely such adventures are normal for young couples, but the catch is for these adventures Reegs & Bec were not yet a couple. Their relationship is built on a solid foundation of friendship.
There’s no way of hiding how they feel for eachother, you can really see it every time they look at one another. They’ve been looking forward to this moment for a lot longer than they’ve even been a couple. The day wasn’t a let down. It was perfect in every way possible.
Scroll on down if you want to view the slideshow at the end, the music, Reegan’s beautiful wedding gift to Bec – he composed it himself and Bec walked down the aisle to it on their big day. So it has a special place in their hearts.
